Thank you for the addition to this great forum. My name is Pat and I'm from Salt Lake City. My wife and I are flying down to Las Vegas this Friday to go look at a new Leisure Van Unity MB or TB model. If those don't work for us I'm hoping to talk the wife into flying to Florida and take a look at the Coach House Platinum ll model.

I really hope we like the Leisure model because it will be very hard to explain to my wife why the Coach House is worth about $70,000 more.

I prefer the Leisure Van line.

Of the two models you’re mentioning......

I like the MB because it feels more spacious.....living area and certainly the bathroom. There’s something to be said for a slide. The downside....your bedroom is the living room. If one wants to retire early....everyone retires.

The TB does give you two rooms, 4 seatbelts if that’s important, no slide (no troubles associated with a slide mechanism if you don’t have one) and appears to have more interior storage cupboards/closets.

I like the exterior lines of Leisure Vans.

It’s also Canadian built, so maybe I’m biased.

Thank you for the comment. Every thing you said about the Leisure is exactly how my wife and I feel about both Leisure models. I have never had a slide out before so a little nervous about the operation and the longevity of the slide out.

I like the leisure van too. It seems that they are in hot demand so the price /resale are very high. Think about maintenance and moisture with slide outs. I watched a full time rver's video on how he packs up and how to dry, squeegee excess water off, slide it in then from the inside taking towels to make sure all the water is off of the top (of course this was after a rain). Nice to have the extra space so if you don't mind the extra work and seal maintenance then go for it. If you are going used, try contacting RV Swapshop Summerfield, FL... they do a 12 hr run on all systems, electrical, roof and motor and make sure everything runs well before you head down the road.

Glad to be part of the forum-group. After many months of research and heart ache of missing the MH's I've wanted to purchase , I have finally got one so I will certainly be picking people's brains of years of knowledge. Finding the right MH and researching each brand for issues and problems, I still feel like a newborn.

If anyone has any ideas on a RV course that is worth the money, please let me know. I would love to learn how to take care of the simple things (winterizing for my RV since valves etc never seem to be in the same areas as on videos, minor battery issues, breakers, fuses etc)

Nice to read a lot of posts so I must search and get busy.
