I've Come To "The Dark Side"

Yes, I'm an RV newbie who has almost 50 years of tent camping (and backpacking) under my belt! I grew up in a family that didn't like everything that RV's represented (loud noise in the campgrounds and the fact that a lot of rv folks never seemed to come out of their caves)

But a new day has arrived - middle age - and frankly, I don't get my jollies tromping through the rain to the restroom at 2 am! LOL I love the comforts that a Travel Trailer provide!

So, here I am in the "dark side" enjoying the hell out of it! I hope I fit in here and I look forward to helping and learning from other people here!

Welcome to the shinning part

of the " dark side ". You will need sunglasses to shield you from all the light that we will point you way.

Many of us were tent campers who got tired of sleeping on the rocks and tromping through the mud every time it rained. It surely is nice to be up off the ground, isn't it? Welcome to iRV2!

It you find you miss it, take along a tent as a reminder. Those tree roots don't get any softer. Welcome to the "light"

Welcome to the "lighter" side. Enjoy the trailer; the first time it rains or when mosquitos get out of hand, you'll wonder why you never got one sooner!

I can relate. While tent camping this summer I came to the conclusion that my back wasn't handling tent camping as well as it used to. So I bought an RV! So welcome aboard.

Welcome to IRV2! We're glad you finally saw the light! I did my share of tent camping when I was young, but don't have any desire for that now! Good luck, have fun, and God bless!
