Hi everyone, glad I found this forum... New to the RV/Camper world...
Me and my girlfriend April just picked up a 1988 Palomino Colt after joking around that I found some cheap pop ups on craigslist, while looking for my quad, and she was really interested in getting one.. We've been talking about going camping for 5+ years but haven't gone but now we have to )

We ended up finding this Colt for $625 on craigslist. Guy bought it, tore part the interior and removed the sink/grill because he didnt use it, and making the center a larger bed for his 3 girls.

He also replaced the outside lifts, putting in a scissor lift kit, replaced the 2 tires and 1 spare, fixed all the lighting, put greasable fittings on the hubs, and painting the frame... He then used it a few times but took a deal on a newer pop up from a family member..

We talked him down to $450 and took it home a few days later. He did throw in the grill/sink out of his new pop up too, but the girl doesn't want to put it in since we "won't use it."

We put some hours into it last friday just cleaning it and trying to get rid of the god awful smell of it sitting for some odd years before this guy started working on it.

Plans for the near future:
-Relocate the table to leftside/rear area...
-Make a bench the full span from the front to rear on the driverside of it with storage under the seats.
-Resupport the lifts bracing inside.
-Replace padding and have my mom make new covers for the padding (She's obsessed with sewing, works out to my advantage sometimes, her stuff just gets in the way the rest of the time at home)
-Add 12v lighting to the inside, running it to the outside reciptical that will have a cig. lighter adapter so I can plug into the truck if we need light when we don't get a power site.. (LED lighting so it don't drain the battery)
-Put new flooring down, may go fancy w/ Pergo style flooring if cheap enough, or if her aunt/uncle find the extra they have.
-Repanel or paint everything to match

Welcome! We just left your neck of the woods after a very enjoyable 3 week stay out in the country near Lodi/Homerville. Wildwood Lakes Campground was a great little place for us... quiet all week and then non stop family activities all weekend.

Yep about an hour away.. We're planning a trip in 2 weeks, maybe we'll have to check this place out!
