Jumping in with both feet

We just purchased our first diesel pusher, a 2004 Newmar Dutch Star 3810. We have had many trailers over the years and one gas motorhome, a 1999 Damon Intruder. I guess we will be known as "long timers" because we will be spending most of our time in it and traveling a good part of the year. I'm a little apprehensive about a diesel, but ready to get in and learn all I can to maintain and keep it in tip top shape for traveling. I would like to purchase the operators manual for this coach if one exists. I'm looking forward to reading posts from the experience others have gained.

Like you, moved up the chain from sleeping in the back of a station wagon, tent, tent trailer, pickup camper, travel trailer, class C gas, now a DP. Started with only word of mouth info on diesels but read the manuals and scoured this forum and asked lots of questions here when I could not find a particular answer. The folks here are so great and knowledgeable. So do your homework and enjoy, I love my rig and do we have fun.

Hi Scott & Joanne

Glad to have you here witth us, and welcome to the Newmar family.

You will be happy with your new Dutch Star. If you have questions or concerns you've come to the right place. You will also find a Newmar owners room, by clicking the Owners Forum tab at the top of this page.
Owner manuals are available from Newmar for the coach. If you have a CAT engine, that manual is available from Caterpillar. I assume the same would be true if you have a Cummins.

Best of luck and Happy Trails!!!
