Just another Canadian

I am a retired (4th year) community college teacher and just recently moved up (I hope) from a Ford Class C diesel to a '99 Winnebago Chieftain 35U with 47,000 miles on the odo. I did quite a bit of research on older Class A's and my decision came down to Winnebago or Dutch Star. Hopefully I have made the right decision. I purchased the coach in MA and drove it plus the toad 900 miles non stop to my home here in Nova Scotia, Canada. The drive was very comfortable and trouble free. I was very surprised how easy it was to drive after having been use to a 27' Class C. Campers are a pretty friendly bunch and I hope to be able to participate and meet others here on the forum. Cheers.

Summer (August) iRV2 get together in Nova Scotia

I would like to congratulate you on your purchase. We are having a iRV2 get together the long weekend in August at Loch Lomond campground in Amherst, NS. Watch for details or feel free to contact Carol and I. It should be fun. Great campground.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new Winnebago. Now do the right thing by it and get it out of the cold. We still have a couple of spots down here in Florida and you're welcome to one of them.
