Oh yeah, I was worried about my gen water pump belt. I believe the book says to replace at 1000 hrs (you have to drop gen to install new belt ). My gen had new magnets installed before I bought Discovery. I never found out if new belt was put on when gen out of MH. If you look up through oil filter access hatch past the oil filter you should be able to see belt. Mine is shiny new. One less worry. Also in case you don't know, if you get to under 1/4 tank of diesel gen will stop. So your gen doesn't run you out of diesel.

As far as the sailing thing, I started sailing when I was 19, the company did a lot of foreign runs, all bulk products, all around Africa and South America mostly Government grain runs. Worked my way up to Chief Engineer, went to work up in the Great Lakes, about 3 years later, they asked me to come in the office as Fleet Chief Engineer, at the time I was living in Florida, and I was worried about moving my wife up to Michigan, cause like they say “If she aint happy, you aint happy”, but we moved and she loves the change of seasons, spring and summer are just beautiful.
I will check out the 12 volt bulbs, thanks Kelly/Dave

Also try Radio Shack on line. I bought some 12V 20 Watt bulbs on line last week for $1.98 each with free shipping. I had paid over $4 at Napa and Wal Mart.
