Just bought our first trailer

My husband and I have been searching for a used trailer for 2 years. Did not want to invest a lot of money in case we didn't like pulling a trailer. I still have my doubts, I love going to the mountains and makes me nervous pulling a trailer. We are searching right now for the right hitch to make it as smooth as possible. It's not my "dream" trailer, but it will do until we find out exactly what we want (well, I know what I want, a restored 1960's trailer.) We bought a 1981 Fleetwood Wilderness (19 ft) and it's in decent shape, needs a few little things like outside plastic window trim that's cracking, vent covers, & more I'm sure. Not sure we can find them, but going to try. Also fixed a leak already. So disappointed in the sellers, they told us it had been outside since they bought it last April and it never leaked, daughter even slept in it all summer. It was under a large tree, so maybe it escaped most of the rain, I don't know.

We used to camp in a tent years ago, so this isn't totally new, but it's been a very long time since we had any kind of a vacation due to - first - a lack of money, then when we had money, we rescued a cat and just can't find someone to take care of him while we're gone. We're hoping a trailer solves that problem and we can take him with us. We'll see.
