Although we are not new to camping, we are new members to iRv2 and we are happy to have found the site. Like many of you, we started out tent camping, got a pop up, then a travel trailer, then a class c, a gas class A and recently purchased a Diesel pusher. Somewhere along the line we bought a campground in Connecticut. But right now we are enjoying our new rig (it's a 2008, but new to us) in Newport North Carolina where we enjoyed thanksgiving with family and friends.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I wanted a place to store my rig so I am building a garage, never thought about buying a campground.

We are staying at whispering Pines in Newport. It is near Moorehead. We have stayed at Goose Creek, which is just down the road and in the TraveL Park on emerald isle. All within a few miles of each other. This time of year none of them have much going on, but I am sure the summer is more active. Beautiful place to be. If I ever get to retire it will be here.

Congrtulation on your new DP. I too have been camping for a few years (20) I am new to IRV2 and so far I like it. Just traded my Bounder for a 2012 Chalenger, I'm expecting deliivery any day now. Looks like my maiden trip will be to Florida this Feb.

We head home on Sunday, stay through Christmas and head south to Florida til mid Feb. I look forward to the day when I can say til spring! Where do you stay in fla.?
