Just getting started

I retired last spring and my wife is retiring no earlier than late this year. We are just starting to get serious about picking out an RV so we can spend some of our retirement traveling. We are looking for a half ton towable TT or 5th wheel. Interested in comments from experienced RV folks as to advantages and disadvantages of each option.
