Hi All,
vgreco here, we are newbies.
Always wanted to travel the USA. My wife, Sandy, and I, Vito, purchased an RV last year, It is an American Tradition by Fleetwood, 1999 40' deisel.
We took a couple small trips locally to get the feel and see what kind of bugs we had.
After our shakedown cruises we went to Florida. By the way, we live in upstate NY near Albany, in a small city called Amsterdam.
Florida trip was great.
We are currently traveling cross country.
Made it to Las Vegas, visiting family for thankgiving, via Mt. Rushmore and the northern route.
We plan on leaving this weekend via the southern route.
Currently all is well with the RV with one problem: the floor step cover guide pin sheared off and can't find the part to repair.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thank you and glad to have people to share with. anyone interested in our voyage, please ask.
Vito and Sandy

Hi and welcome to the forum. In addition to Clifftall's suggestion you might try posting your question in the Fleetwood Owners forum. Good luck and safe travels.

That's what I call a shakedown! Next time don't be so afraid, just get in and go.

Glad you decided to join us. First Happy Thanksgiving. I'm sure you'll find a lot of new friend here and a lot of knowledgeable people to boot. I can't help on the shear pin problem but I'm sure someone will be able to give you a suggestion for a possible fix. Enjoy your travels, be safe and Happy Motoring!!!
