Just joined - first post!
Purchased a well kept (well used) Aspenlite25 yesterday via Craigs list. I'm amazed at the condition of a 30 yr old 5th wheel. P.O. has done some things that I don't like, but a lot of things that are really terrific. I have previously owned Class A Winnies, but haven't been Rving in about 10 yrs, but have a little 3 yr old red headed great,great grand-daughter that I took out to the lake fishing one time, and all she can talk about is going fishing, and all those campers out there. Been kinda looking for something like this, and it really took my eye. I already own a Ford F350 Dually diesel, I think it'll pull it. It has a gooseneck hide-a-goose hitch installed, and I got a 15K reese hitch with the 5er, so a little cutting and welding, and I'll have a removeable drop in hitch and a smooth bed. The 1 ton had a 5er hitch installed before, but hitch was gone and the mounts had been welded to the frame when I got it, had to cut them off to install the gooseneck. Of course I didn't save them, Gotta rig something up, 5er is still settin at O.P.s house, 80 miles away. Looking forward to getting back into this.
