Just joined iRV2 forums

Hello to all. DW and I are early 50s empty nesters. Over the last 33 years, we've camped in tents and pick up canopies (in the early years) and have also owned at various times a slide-in camper, a Mobile Traveler Class C motorhome and a Tahoe travel trailer. We presently have a very basic set up consisting of a conversion van pulling a small enclosed cargo trailer. We're more travelers than campers at this stage, preferring the simpler dual-purpose vehicle.

DW is retired and I'm about 5 years out. We may look for a small Class C MH in a few years to use on vacations until retirement. After retirement, we're planning to go full-time for awhile and will probably move up to a Class A or a Super C. We live in Washington state and love traveling about this part of the country. We also enjoy traveling to Arizona in the winter and spring. Planning to be snowbirds when I can put the job behind me someday

There's some great info and discussions on these forums and I look forward to participating.

oldhank, WELCOME!

Love your part of the country. I was born in Seattle, but we lived a number of years in Spokane. I also lived with my grandparents for a while, just up the road from you, in Newport. They moved there, from Kansas City, right after my dad joined the Navy, at the end of WWII. Both are buried there (I haven't been back for 20 years, since my grandmother died).

You've got a lot of great areas to explore in your RV within a fairly small radius of your home.

Happy trails...

Welcome aboard,

We joined a little over a year ago and I have found the resources here to be unsurpassed anywhere else. I do more learning than teaching as we are new RVers but I will return the favors when I am more seasoned.
