Just Living the Dream

Hi All
I am another new guy. Living in the Frozen Tundra and newly retired. Looking forward to becoming an RV er. Current plans are to look for a motorhome to live in 6 months in the sun. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Before we bought a coach & hit the road we attended numerous RV rallys (Good Sam, FMCA, Escapees). We learned a lot in the seminars and from the folks we met, in particular the Escapees has a Boot Camp that was great. We also rented several types of RV's (travel trailer, gas class A, diesel) before buying and took them out on trips to see what we liked/didn't like about them.

Good luck in your endeavors... we are currently wintering in Arizona, today's high will be 79!

Welcome to the forum. Catch an RV show as soon as you can. Sit in as many units as possible - imaging your mornings and evenings in the units...what do you like? What do you not like so much? Think about everyone sleeping and a lone person still wanting to watch TV - will it work?

Welcome to the forum. If you want to winter with Uncle Sam and stay warm there are 3 choices. The low desert of the SW, south Texas, and south Florida. You do not have to wait to become an expert before you go RVing. Just Do It and others along the way will help you up the learning curve.
