Just purchased our first pre-owned RV!

Hello! hoping everyone is doing great! we just purchased our first RV as we have a trip planned from Philadelphia, PA to Apache Junction Arizona, and then up to Washington State, Colorado and back home!
I am wondering if anyone could help us find a replacement for the outdoor shower box hatch. Our mechanic sort of broke it (the brute! ) when he tried opening it, so we are looking for a replacement for either the entire exterior shower box or just the hatch.
We have a 1993 Fleetwood Coronado 27R, and I've been searching online but can't seem to find anything even similar to the size of t his hatch. Oh the hatch itself measures about 17" x 9 3/4" with two locks.
Any suggestions on this would be immensely appreciated! We don't want to be driving out there with a hole on its side!
Thank you and hope to hear back from someone!

First, now, is the cover plastic or metal, a pic would help! You might be able to repair it? Take it off, and see what it would take to repair it, or take the pieces to your local RV dealer parts dept. and see if he can order you a new one? I am just guessing with out pictures, but if you can drill and put support behind the cover, it might hold and be just fine? There are a few salvage dealers out there, google is your friend! Hope this helps? Rail!

Search RV salvage locations, there are many. Hopefully you'll find your needed part. Good luck and have a great trip.

Glad to have you here with us.

It's a bummer a new RV and already something is broke. The above suggestions are good idea. Especially the salvage search.

Best of luck and Happy Trails!!!

It is not metal, I am assuming it's plastic or fiberglass. The little plastic nob on top, actilng like a hinge, broke. The mechanic said it can't be fixed & he can't find a relacement- so we are pretty much on our own to solve this.
I'll try to find a picture of it. The himge part is on top & the lock part is on the bottom of the hatch.
Problem is that the RV is so aged, they don't make those parts anymore!
Thanks!

Yeah we've been looking at RV salvage places, still can't find any with this year & model! Kentucky seems to have a rather large inventory of aged salvaged RV's!
Thanks for the welcome & for replying!

I have to agree on the photo. Photos helps tremendously especially on a small part such as this one.
