Just retired and bought a Monaco ( 06 )

Just retired from working as yacht capt. and have sold my personal boat and purchased a 40ft, 06 Monaco Safari Cheetah motorhome. Looking forward to traveling to the west coast this summer from So Florida. I am also looking forward to input from the many members of iRV2.

Welcome to irv2. I found a lot of similarities between boating and Rving. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Welcome !!! I don't think you'll be sorry about this decision. Now you can rent a boat from any coast line in America if you begin to miss it.

Congrats on the rig too !!

Dick & Sharon;

We are glad you joined us. Congratulations on the purchase of your Monaco Safari Cheetah. I owned 3 house boats before I quit boating and purchased my first Class A. As Clifftall has stated, we found many similarities between boating & rving. Post often and share with us your new RV experiences.

Don

We used to have this "thing" we did in the Navy just before you get out. If someone asks "What are you going to do when you get out"...

I'm going to put an oar over my shoulder and walk inland. When someone asks "Hey, what's that you have over you shoulder", I'm gonna stop.

Welcome aboard.

Welcome from a new Floridian in Central Florida. We are transplants from Northern Calif. The left coast is beautiful but so is Florida.

You should get your "land legs' quickly. Have fun.
