Hi ya'll! DH just retired. We are from Northern Ohio but have lived in the Louisville KY area for the last 14 years. We had a pop up when our kids were young. So we are not totally new to this but it has been along time. We are prepping for a cross country trip 2013 and welcome any and all advise. Especially if you know of a good internet app to use to do it or any websites to help. Hope to meet some of you guys soon.

Welcome to the site. You will find some tremendously informative people here. My first advice would be: Now that you are retired don't be in a hurry. My personal motto is-no more than 300 miles a day; 3:00 PM whichever comes first.

Hi Mia and Wayne, welcome to IRV2. As dlovitt said, take your time. If you find a place you really like, stay a week and get the better rate, plus save on gas that week. Enjoy your time on this site. You will get some real good advice. Safe travels.
