Just Starting

Well we are just starting to shop for our RV, we have camped over the years and have owned several tent and travel trailers. I am looking for a used Class A diesel pusher.....I sure could use any advice. Currently we are interested in a 2002 Fleetwood Bounder 39R with a Cummins 300 engine.

All I can say is be patient and careful. Make sure you check everything out and that it is repaired if needed before you hand over any money.

One of the main things you want to be sure of is that the DW is happy with the interior layout. If she isn't happy you won't be for very long.

A good site to keep an eye on is the PPL Motor Homes.

Bounders are a great coach, but as others have said just don't be hasty, look around for the best unit that best fits your needs and make sure you check it over to your satisfaction. Have someone else look at it that has some experience if your unsure. Good luck in your search.

Welcome to the forum and we wish you the best of luck in your search. It seems to be a buyers market these days so figuring out what will fit your planned RV lifestyle and shopping around should net you a great rig. We did more than six months of mind-numbing research before buying our Class A DP almost a year ago.
It's was hard not to be impatient, but I am sure glad we did all the research; we ended up with a great deal on great coach!
Again, we're glad to have you and you'll find loads of helpful and really nice folks here.
Travel safe and enjoy every moment!

Hi folks! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you with us! As others have said, don't get in a hurry. It's definitely a buyer's market right now! Making the wrong choice on a DP can end up costing you a TON of money! Spend a lot of time over in the Class A section of the forum and ask lots of questions about any rigs you are interested in. Good luck and God bless!
