Just Starting Out

Hi Everyone,

It has taken me a while to get registered but I have been enjoying these forums since purchasing our first motorhome last August ... better late than never! My wife and I are new to this lifestyle and have a lot to learn so will hopefully take advantage of all the great information and experience the members of this site have to offer.

We had never owned or even used an RV before last August but have spent a lot of time on the road in our SUV traveling this great country. We've talked about buying a motorhome for years and finally after a trip north last summer we decided to take the plunge.

With some guidance from friends we ended up buying a new 38' diesel pusher and are really pleased with our new coach. I was a nervous wreck starting out on the first trip as (other than the test drive) I had never spent any time driving anything this large and the SUV dragging behind wasn't making me any more comfortable! But, I did fine and each successive trip has been easier and more enjoyable.

We have taken three awesome trips to date and wish we could spend more time on the road, we absolutely love traveling in our new home away from home. We have a tremendous amount of learning to do so we're looking forward to any and all help anyone can provide in future posts.

Sure for your first unit you decided to go big not home. Welcome to the forums. Look at it this way now you're practically ready to apply to drive those 65' articulating buses through downtown Providence
