Living my dream

Hello everyone!! I am a 50 yr old single gramma who is on a dream journey. Currently living in a 24 ft Alfa Innovator until I build a tiny house on wheels. I was really concerned about making such a drastic change but it has turned out to be the best decision I have ever made. Being a first time travel trailer owner I have oodles of questions. Some YouTube just cannot answer, so I am hoping someone here knows more than I do on current situations. Looking forward to getting feedback. Thank you so much in advance for any and all help.

So very kind

Thank you all for your support.

My first question is does the fresh water go to into a grey holding tank? I thought that was for shower water and sink water. ( Thought fresh water would be a white tank or a more opaque one.) I have been told that my grey tank needs a new fitting for a hose outside and it is the fresh water. But seeing the grey tank brings up red flags for me and I am not sure. I know the hose has been off for a couple weeks now and no leaks. Nothing goes in it, but i do have a hose running to the trees from the grey line to directly get rid of the grey waste water. Water hose is plugged into camper for fresh water.

Question 2: The fitting for the grey tank is one that is sandwiched on. (from inside the tank and outside the tank). How do you get it off without taking the whole tank apart? Saw instructions on how to plug existing hole and make a new one, with new parts.

I am clueless. First time camper owner. Started out with something old to fix up and get ready to build a tiny house.

You have three holding tanks. The fresh water tank is fillable from the outside with a garden water hose. The fresh water tank my be black, gray or white/opaque. The gray tank is to hold shower and sink water after you use it.

>>> I have been told that my grey tank needs a new fitting for a hose outside and it is the fresh water. <<< This makes no sense at all... The gray tank and fresh water tank are totally separate. Perhaps a pic of the grey tank fitting will help us in understand your question better.
