Looking at Motorhome?

1997 Fleetwood American Dream 325 cummins, it has 117,000 miles or 1999 1997 Fleetwood American Dream 330 Cummins with 129,000 Miles. Is this a lot of miles for a diesel motorhome?

Diesel engines can go 500,000 miles or more if properly serviced. Everything else on the MH will probably be worn out before the engine!

Howdy Dave and welcome to the forum. As Joe said, that is not a lot of miles for a diesel. There are plenty of other things you should be considering on a rig of that age, though...so look it over carefully for leaks and make sure the systems are all in working order. Good luck.

With those miles it's just getting broken in. As mentioned check the rest of the systems though. If possible get the maintenance records from any coach you may decide to purchase.

Hello Dave, welcome to the forum. As mentioned above the diesel engines are made to run for a lot longer than those you asked about. Check and make sure the proper maintainence has been preformed on the engines.

My 03 Phaeton with 3126 cat came to life after 86k. Fortunately I am fairly handy, I always have projects to do.

Repair shops can get pricy. Oil analysis is cheap for the engines. Make sure the chassis, drive train and coach structure are ok.
