Talking Looking in Missouri

Hello everyone,
My husband and I bought a Trailer and are looking to start out on some camping adventures. We live in central Missouri and have the first week of June for one of our vacations this year. We want to go camping, someplace in Missouri that has fishing at the campground or real close, and the sites are big and not stacked on top of each other. We also like full hookups. Is there anyone who could give us some pointers on where to go? Last year we were down around the Branson area, so we are not looking to go back there this time.
Thanks, Dappleblond
PS. We also have 7 miniature dachshunds that are therapy dogs that we travel with.

First, we love those minature doxies ! Ours was with us 17 years. He was a terrific pet. We miss him dearly.

Campgrounds - no first hand experience but you might look at:
1. Huzzah Valley Resort
2. Lake Paradise Resort

We have stayed at the Corp of engineering camp ground of Mark Twain Lake. Very nice lake and spacious cgs I think there are 3 COE CG'S and a State Park CG. I don't rember which CG we stayed at but we looked at them all and they appeared to be very nice. We were in a tent, not sure about full hookup. There were several people out fishing on the lake. We don't fish but we did have our kayaks and there was alot of lake to kayak that did not have heavy boat traffic.
Have fun where ever you end up.
