Looking to buy our first RV
Looking for good advice with anyone who has purchased a Vegas 24.1 by Thore. We have been looking for the past 3 months an always seem to come back to this one. We do understand that this is nota top of the line coach but is in the price range we are looking to spend. We are open to other suggestions in a coach this size. We will mainly be using it for weekend in trips in Florida with a trip out to Colorado this year and another long trip say 3 weeks in 2017. looking for advice.

I have a 2016 thor ace 30.2 that I am trading in for a tiffen 34 pa. Thor has been plagued with quality control issues. I can't speak to the model you Re looking at. My advice would be to make sure you have dealer that is convenient. And if you have issues at the walk through insist they are fixed before you sign papers.
Don't get me wrong. There is a lot I love about the ace. Mine may have more problems than most. If I had to I could live with the thor happily. All coaches have some things go wrong. I just could live without all the problems and grief of this year with it.

Glad to have you here with us.
You didn't say what your budget was, however you may want to consider looking at a used MH. The bugs hopefully are worked out and you can get more bang for the dollar. Just make sure you have it inspected so you don't wind up with any unpleasant surprises.
I wish you good luck with your search and Happy Tails!!

As Tony mentioned, you may be able to find a better quality used unit and be a whole lot happier ... just something to think about ....

In 1001% agreement, look for a higher end used unit that fits your budget. Thor has many build quality issues...... Peel the layers of that onion back and you will see what everyone is talking about regarding Thor.
Good luck and in hopes you find your Gem

gns,
Welcome to the forum. You came to the right place to research and ask questions. We were where you are about 2 years ago. Never owned a MH before and wanted one and didn't know a lot.
Someone suggested I come here and I did. Started asking questions and reading old threads and started to learn and understand.
We bought used (which was what we planned anyway). Had someone check it out and I feel we got a good deal. Buying new is NOT a guarantee that you will have no problems. You also have to deal with that loss of value you get when buying a new vehicle. Depreciation.
If you are not set on brand new and or do not want payments, start looking at an older gently used unit. We have a few upgrades we plan to do but even with that we spent a lot less than new. I am completely comfortable driving this rig across country too.
Check out PPL Motorhomes out of Texas. It is a great way to look at older floor plans. Either way, this is a great hobby and you have time to look around.
