Hello everyone:

I need your help!!!!

I just joined this forum because I found it on my ipad and I am finding it to be pretty useful. I have been staying up late every night reading the different forums and threads to soak up as much information as I can before I put together my game plan for an adventure of a lifetime.

First of all I live in PA with my wife and 3 children who are 9, 5 & 2. I have been talking for a couple of years with my family about traveling the country in an RV but my 9 year old has always been reluctant because he takes karate and enjoys playing baseball. Ironically last week he finally graced me with his approval to live in an RV so now I have everyone onboard.

Now starts the planning phase of this adventure and this is where I am looking for help.

School - We are planning to cyber school our children through the PA cyber school. Is there anything better out there?

Home base - We are planning to sell the house and just rent a small apartment so we have a place to return to once in a while and also to use as an address for cyber school. Do you need a declare a physical address for schooling and tax purposes?

Work - I have a home based business (safety training) CPR, first aid ect... that I manage and I am very successful with it. I do though have instructors who can maintain my training obligations and I just manage everything from a remote location. Does anyone out there currently offering this kind of service?

Additional work - I would like to do some work at campgrounds in trade for space. Are there any good websites where camp owners post these opportunities?

Camper - I am looking to purchase a used Class A RV and I need one with bunks. Being that I have 3 kids are there any RV's out there with 3 bunks?

Our goal is to start this journey around September/October of this year so I hope that will give me more than enough time to get everything lined up.

Budget - I am finding budgets out there but I'm not seeing any for a family of 5.

Kids - Now that the kids are excited I need to keep them excited. Are there any websites for RV'rs or forums geared toward kids?

Florida Keys - I would LOVE to take my kids to the Florida Keys and start their adventure there for the winter but I see its peak season and I cant afford that. Are there any work camper jobs that anyone knows of in that area?

Thank you all!!!!!

Addio

Hi Addio! Welcome to IRV2! Boy, you're just full of questions aren't you! Just kidding! They are all good, logical questions and I can see you are the type of guy that really thinks things out before just jumping in. I can't help with your full-timing questions, but I would suggest that you repost the questions over in the Full-Timers section which is under RV Lifestyles, or in the General Discussions. You can only post in one of them though. There aren't a lot of people who hang around here so you will get more and better answers over in those areas. Sure hope everything works out for you. I think it's gonna be tougher on the kids to be moving around all the time and leaving their friends, but on the other hand they will have a chance to see the country and experience things that other kids may not be able to. Good luck, Happy New Year, and may God bless and keep you and your family!

Howdy and welcome! Sorry that I can't answer any of your questions, but there's a ton of info on full-timing on this site as well as the Escapees website. Also, if you Google "workamping opportunities" you will see lots of info on camping jobs. Good luck to you.

Hello
I am New to and am looking to start My fulltime adventure in the same timetable with a little Variances. I have been researching every aspect It is the way to go single, Married , or family, You always meet new friend and the care More like your extended family. sort of like people helping people. I just started with this forum and everyone has been So supportive and kind and Sincere.

I think You and Your family will enjoy it very much and you can work while you are on the road (workamping)
You will meet new people who will teach you trick and secrets help you get through tough times and be there for you. and it is so sincere you automatically will desire to do the same to others as you meet your new family. You watch you will be blessed and happy. and you will save money to. Keep in touch AS I learn if I can Help I will help You and your family from what I learned and Researched since 1995. You are all in my prayers.
I am learning so much more than I was since I began In 1995 Now I am getting ready for a roadtrip to tampa in my Subaru to actually look at the rv I have my heart on and fits my plan in a realistic fashion. and also test drive it sit down an discouse my notes and develope a Win Win Solution with the sales rep. I found Tiffin to be the Best but that is only my opinion. They have what is to be the best Cust support in the industry. But I will find that out to for myself because I also plan to visit the plant in Red Bay Alabama and take more notes then sit down with Bob Tiffin (Owner) with my questions
