Lurking for a year, now a member!

Hello all,

I have been lurking this forum since last year and decided to finally join. From what I have seen, it is very active and has a lot of very valuable information from great contributors. I am a member of other forums (automotive) and I have to say this is one of the best I have seen.

I purchased our new to us RV last year for our weekly treks to dog agility trials. We were staying in hotels for the weekend events until we gave in to the pressure from our RV friends to get our own. I was so tired of the flea bag hotels, the costs for the rooms and the thought of sleeping in a bed that others have been in that one point last year I said, ENOUGH!
So the search began and my wife found a 2004 Fleetwood Southwind 32V listed in Indiana. I made a trip down to look at it, test drove a few miles (never driven a class A before in my life) and went back the next weekend with cash in hand. Drove it 6 hours back home. Wow, what an experience!

Anyway, we have never looked back. We use it almost every weekend for an on average 3 - 4 hour drive to the trail, park it in the lot amongst all our RV buddies, run the dogs in the trials and walk back "home". We will then all proceed with our cookouts and share stories of how our dogs did that day. We are now official members of "RV Nation" and wear our t-shirts on Saturdays.

I will be watching daily for the fun!

Sincerely,

Rving for the agility dogs.

from NH. Glad you joined and think so highly of the site. It appears that the motorhome fits into your lifestyle and that you are enjoying it to it's fullest. A lot of us agree with you on the motel scene. Bringing your home with you is a far better way to go. Enjoy and have safe travels. Glad you joined.
