Well, we have worked for the past several weeks getting the new 5th wheel stocked and ready for our first trip this week (I'm sure we'll have a new list started once we get set up). The youngest is headed to Florida for her senior band trip to Disneyworld, the oldest has to hold down the fort at work so it's just the DH and I. We're headed to Junction and while the DH thinks we going to kayak, I'm testing the water first to see just how cold it is before I commit to that excursion. I have to say that watching the kids do sports all these years has been wonderful but I'm really looking forward to this next chapter and our Camping Chronicles too!

Well, one camp neighbor described our plumbing experiences on our first trip out as infancy failures. Apparently, there must have been some little droplets of water left in the plumbing fixtures back in Jan (even though we did ask if we needed to take any precausions against freezing) when we purchased our new 5th wheel and with the unusual and lasting cold spell that we had in West Texas in Feb, well, you can probably guess what the DH spent the first day at that camp doing. But, after that we had a nice week. Unfortunately, our old favorite State Park has become a little too popular so we are on the hunt for a smaller, less known spot in the hill country for another weekend trip in April.
