Maintenance

We are new owners of a 2005 Fleetwood Providence. So far, so good. I do not have full maintenance records, but enough to have been comfortable in purchasing this rig. I have done underneath studying the engine, trans, suspension, becoming familiar with everything I can. I like to do my own service on my vehicles, so I haven't been too concerned with oil and trans services, which were recently completed by the previous owner. It has a CAT C-7. I do not have a record of the fuel filter being changed, so I was underneath checking out the location. I then went inside, opened up the bed to check access from the top. Darned if I can see how to get to this filter with any ease! What the heck do you guys do?

pjb, welcome to our website and forums. Congratulations on your Providence purchase. It amazes me how the manufacturers never think of maintenance or repair issues when building and putting together some of these things. Not all of them are as bad as others. You may find that you have to move some things to get to what it is you want to service. It can be very aggravating at times.
We do have a forum specific to the Fleetwood owner products and I encourage you to at least visit or ask these type questions there. It is about half way down the main forum page. Good luck and keep us posted.
