More Newbies

My wife and I recently became the proud owners of a 2004 T/S 40dso4. After driving 950 miles to bring it home to Colorado Springs, we currently have it parked in one of the warehouse bays at work while we finalize our preparations to become full time workampers. I have been searching thru the threads for a couple of weeks for any subjects that relate to our coach and have already put one to good use. I thought my salesman switch was faulty and had to cycle it a few times on occasion to get power to the coach. Then I read about the solenoid in the inverter cabinet that it operates actually being the culprit. I went to power up this afternoon and it went into complete failure. Having read the excellent information about this problem, I put both wires on the same terminal so I could power up temporarily for some friends to come out and check out our new home. I'll be making a trip to NAPA tomorrow for a replacement. Many thanks to the folks that put out all that good information. I'm sure I'll be calling on you in the future as this is our first motorhome. Having been tent campers for over 35 years, then moving up to a pop up trailer, it was a real leap of faith when we decided to go this route and jumped in the deep end. We absolutely love our T/S and can hardly wait to hit the road. Hope to meet many of you in our travels.

Hi Sam and Paula,

Welcome to the Forum! This a great site. I read old threads every so often just for something to read and always learn something that will help us in the future.

Glad you are getting ready for full timing, it's what we plan to do eventually. There is a "Full Timers" forum on this site. Might enjoy that one.

Welcome, Lynne

Thank you Lynne and thanks for the tip on the "Full Timers" thread. I have looked thru about 6 pages on the owners link and checked out most of the first page on full timers. Some very interesting reading, plan to do more as time allows.
