Thumbs up New 2 R Ving.. This may be a first?

Well my maiden voyage was going to good to be true.

I hooked everything up leveled right off, no floods, nothing blew up, the satellite worked perfect, "didn't expect that" was feeling a little cocky. ! mmmm....

My lady friend sister and brother in law were celebrating there 2nd trip with the trailer, and helping us out to learn some routines...i bought an Itasca 23ft..

Now , "Time to leave, heading to the dump station in the park near Sedona AZ.

Followed my friend in hopes to remember how to work the dump valves and in what order to do so.

Now my turn, we pulled up, everything was going way to good at this point. Could it be a perfect maiden trip?

I valved and dumped in perfect order, all seemed ship shape. At this point my friend said , I think we r supposed to put the hose in the toilet and flush one more time.

So he walked up to the coach door and it was locked, then tried both cab doors, Locked! ummm,, and the Ford 350 HD is running

Now there is a line forming behind us,,, a few guys down the line walked up to me and said , how can i help? He had a wood wedge got into cab opened the door , we were on our way..

All this to say, before I decided to RV and fish the USA, I read a lot .
Read , that RV people are very kind and go out of there way to help, especially newbies..

Yes they are and yes they do...

Thank u so much , and god bless...

And yes , there are spare keys secretly situated ...

Welcome!

Sounds like you had a pretty good first voyage...regardless of the key thing! There are a lot of really nice people out there willing to help out a fellow RV'r.

Are you feeling good enough about your experience to try it on your own?

Congratulations on the new rig and safe travels! The forum is a great place to find information and to ask a question.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I hope that's the worst thing that ever happens to you, but I doubt it! Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
