New Adventures

Hello. I am hoping for lots of education! I am:
  • new widow
  • new to me Thor Siesta sprinter 2014
  • expect to be a solo traveler
  • looking for best place to get step-by-step process for electrical hook-up, surge protector (?)
  • looking for best place to get step-by-step process for dumping order
  • looking for best place for info on water pressure regulators and pros and cons
  • I am learning about diesel. I know I have to keep def fluid full.
Anyway, adventurous and looking forward to a consuming project (RV) and traveling US in a new way----too many business travel and airplane experiences in my past!
Thanks for your insight and direction to best forums.

Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

Maybe one of the Moderators will move your post to the Thor owner's forum for best results!

Congrats on the new rig! Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome & congrats on your new-to-you RV. Wishing you many happy miles.

Since your questions aren't specific to just Thor, please feel free to post your questions in the forum section that best fits your subject. Our members will be glad to help.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Hi, and Welcome....
don't have your version of an rv, but some of these are generic questions so will give it a shot (caps only to stand out) :

  • looking for best place to get step-by-step process for dumping order IF YOU ARE LIKE MOST OF US, A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS GO ON YOUTUBE AND DO A SEARCH FOR WHATEVER YOU WANT, IT WILL PROBABLY HAVE A VIDEO like this
  • looking for best place for info on water pressure regulators and pros and cons - ALWAYS HAVE ONE here's some - HAD ONE PARK THAT BLEW TOO MUCH PRESSURE INTO OURS AND THE WATER WAS RUNNING DOWN THE STREET - and an inline one can be left on the end of your water hose all the time!
  • I am learning about diesel. I know I have to keep def fluid full. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE FULL AND WILL PROBABLY LAST A VERY, VERY LONG TIME, I WOULD GO BY THE PILOT/FLYING J AND USE THEIR DEF PUMPS FOR $2.70 PER GALLON - EZ - PEEZEE
Anyway, adventurous and looking forward to a consuming project (RV) and traveling US in a new way----too many business travel and airplane experiences in my past!

GOOD LUCK ! AND CONSIDER A TRAVEL BLOG WITH PICS TO KEEP US INFORMED

Wow, what nice people. Thank you all for so many helpful comments and thoughts. I'm off to look for surge protector, water pressure regulator for sure. I am registered on Thor Forums - Powered by vBulletin too. Received some excellent advice on de-winterizing. With such great support, it doesn't feel so overwhelming!

Keep in mind that any campground you go to the people staying there will be more than happy to help you out.

All of them were beginners at one time and are usually glad to assist you.
