We have a 1972 Dodge Chinook 25' motorlodge with a 413 engine. The fuel pump went out (it's the one up by the motor) we got the old one out but now we can't get the new one in... HELP! PLEASE.

Thanks for all the help () I'm blue in the face I've been under there for the last 2 days.

Bravebear,

Stick your finger into the hole you took the mechanical fuel pump out of.
You will feel a push rod that goes up when you stick your finger under it.
To install the fuel pump, you must keep the rod up while you put the pump lever under it while installing the pump. Once this is done the pump goes in without a problem and can now be bolted in place.
Good Luck and let us know how it works out for you.

Steve
