Talking New Canadian member

We purchased a 28' 2008 Chateau Sport 25C this past August. Had a pop-up years ago but mostly tented. Had a houseboat for 7 years and now trying out a land yacht. Right away we took it from Ottawa to Niagara Falls. Found a few issues but after browsing this forum and others I feel up to the task of troubleshooting my furnace and fridge issues. They both work but not quite as they should be. Planning a 2/3 month tour of our Atlantic provinces next summer. This forum appears to be more active and useful. I have already learned a lot from this group and look forward to learning a lot more to the point that someday I can reciprocate.

A new Canadian eh! Welcome to the collective. You are right about this forum, it is both active and helpful. You can ask for help in the forum under (click) "RV Forums" and then "Rv systems and tech." and then "RV systems and appliances". Or you can just go ahead and ask us right here. Just ask us. The search engine works pretty good too.
If your going to include the Cabot trail in your wanderings out East, it is a bit of a challenge in a MOHO for sure, I can't say about your type of rig but... Try to get a wind/weather forecast before venturing onto it as it can be a real challenge in the 95-100km wind common on the West side from Cheticamp to Margaree. The Trail is quit narrow (trail not highway) in some places with few turn arounds or pull offs. The shoulders are a 6" drop off in places. It would be no problem in your tow vehicle, and there are two very nice campgrounds to stay at close to the trail that I can think of.

Best of luck on your new adventure.

Welcome to the forum

Possibly we'll see you on the road next summer as we head across Canada from our west coast home to the Atlantic provinces.

Welcome to this forum. Lots of great information available here. We live just outside of Kitchener, but both my wife and I are from the Maritimes. My wife is from Nova Scotia and I am from New Brunswick. We also live in Montreal for 17 years and now wwe ahve been in Ontario for 18 years. If you have any specific questions don't hesitate to ask away.
We have done information packs and pictures for friends from Ontario who have made the trip east.
Enjoy your MH.
Hugh
