Requesting permission to come aboard. We are Steve and Kathy both originally from Nebraska and now looking to hit the road full time. Steve is retired submariner as a Chief of the Boat and Kathy owned a Steakhouse and Saloon. We bought a 2000 Gulf Stream Scenic Cruiser and have plenty of questions so where better to get some answers and ideas. We just found out the tires on the coach are Good Year P159 - 275 70R22.5 (recalled a few years ago). So before we hit the road we will definitely need some new tires (any recommendations)?

Welcome to the best forum around! I can't answer your tire questions, but I'm sure you will get great info!

Welcome to IRV2!

Ever seem that the Navy gets most of its sailors from the land locked mid-west? My dad was Navy - from Kansas City.

Given the age of the coach, my guess is those tires were due to be replaced anyway. This will give you some piece of mind.

Happy trails...

Welcome Steve and Kathy,
Every man should be so lucky. There are plenty of people here to answer your questions. On tires, I personally prefer Michelin. That's what came on my motorhome and though different tires is what is on the motorhome now. I have Bridgestone on my pickup and have quite satisfied with them. I read some good reports on them here on this forum as well as other places. You never go wrong with good tires and good brakes.
