Been on the forum asking questions before our purchase and it is finally happening. Not sure if it will close before the New Year but it will be close.

Bought a 2006 National Tropi-Cal with 9K miles on her. She is really clean and was well taking care of. We have had 5ers, but never a MH and I still have not driven the coach. A little weird but I am sure it will just come with time and experience.

We are thinking of going on a short trip to Emerald RV Resort in Palm Dessert to get our feet wet. We are 2-3 years away from full timing so the timing was right. Looking forward to interacting with you all on this forum. Thx.

Larry & Vicky

That's a nice looking coach! Hope you're ready for the "learning curve". Sounds like you're timing is perfect with the view towards full timing. Happy trails!

I like the look of your coach. Very nice. I too am new to MH and have been pulling a fifth wheel for a number of years. Big difference. Hope you enjoy.

Welcome to the Forum! Great looking coach! Keep us in tune to your trials with the MH, especially any comparisons to the 5er. Many happy trails, hopefully the two lane type.

We are about 10 months ahead of you and bought the same coach only a 2008 and love it. Taking it in for first service since purchased and after 3500 miles.
Good Luck to you

Thank you Chuck....10 months..you guys are pros now. had you experience driving a Class A before or did you just jump in and start driving?

I have to admit I am a bit nervous, but I am sure being very cautious and my wifes help we will be fine.

Happy trails to you as well.

Larry

Thank you. Well I have to tell you I am a bit nervous. We will take it easy and just do a short trip to Palm Desert first. 39 ft yikes! No guts not glory.

Happy trails.

Larry, nice looking coach!!! You will be fine driving her....not as hard as you think. Just relax, watch your mirrors leave plenty of room in front as you drive and make littlw wider turns.

The best advice I have gotten regarding driving a class A is is to start your turn when the curb is directly next to the driver's seat. Works great for me. Until I had that tip I rubbed the tire a few times.

I spent 2 hours with a CDL instructor @ $75/hr. Money well spent.

There are some good driving tips and videos available - just Google it.
