New Dude About to Retire
Yep, after spending nearly 30 years flying over this great land we are going to visit some of those places on terra firma. We are planning either a bumper pull or 5th wheel Toy Hauler so we can take a motorcycle too.
I'll be lurking a lot and asking questions so I can make an educated decision on both truck and camper.
I apologize in advance for asking dumb questions.
Tony

Welcome aboard, Captain! You will find good advice for an RV here. I have 2 years, 6 months and 4 days until I can retire so I'm envious.

Yes, join us ROMEO's (Retired Old Men Eating Out) ASAP. Get that RV early so you can learn and work the bugs out prior to your big adventures.
Of the two RVs you mention, I'm assuming the 'bumper tow' is a travel trailer, so the toy hauler/MC would get my vote :>)

Tony, welcome to iRV2! The only dumb question around here is the one you don't ask!

Welcome!
I retired June 3rd. We also bought an RV and have been enjoying the open road. Just came back from a trip to NM (MIL's). We are going to a NF park next week. We have a long trip planned for Aug. In Sept we plan on going to the iRV2 national rally.
Happy trails!

Congratulations on your retirement.
Don't make the same mistake we made. We purchased a smaller RV with only one slide in the bedroom. We soon found out that it got crowded fast even with just the DW, me and the dog. Especially on rainy days.

Hi Tony, welcome to the forum. Don't rule out a Class A DP with tandum axles. That will support a motorcycle lift and you can still pull your toad. Take it all with you in comfort.
