New face in town

Hi everybody,

while seeking a mobile home I found this great forum. I checked it out and find it very interesting, so I registered myself.

I'm almost a snowbird. Two more years to go.
For the time after we are seeking for a Class A Camper Van. We are from Bavaria/Germany. I used to work for many years in the USA. We also spend a lot of vacation here. During this time we made many friends from Ohio up to Colorado.

With the Camper we would like to explore the area in between where we haven't been yet.
The Class A Camper for max. 6 person should have a fixed queen bed (no slide out), a slide for the living area maybe a full side slide out, Diesel engine, all service specs. and about 30 ft. Nice but not a must solar panel, shower and toilette separat.

I have got a lot of hobbies like motocycle riding, I own a BMW R80RT from 1986, I'm a ham radio operator, I geochache, I kite, I ski, I hike I ... do evereything with a kind of speed.

We are not in a hurry to buy. This is going to be a nearly two year project. Your help/support of what to buy or better not or nice routes or places to visite is appreciated.

CU on the road
Tom

Class A

Finding a 30 ft Diesel class A may be impossible. Most are 34ft

Welcome to the forum. I agree you may have to go a bit longer than your 30 ft suggested size to get a diesel in a Class A MH, the 34 ft minimum is kind of the limit for a diesel pusher style. Longer lengths will tend to have the separate shower and bathroom. No matter what, you have time to learn about models and narrow down your choices for when you get serious about buying one. Have fun learning.

Thanks for this hint I'll keep this in mind.

But I think my wife will refuse to drive a long vehicle like this. I could change her mind from Class C to Class A. For me it is not a big deal, I have a license to drive a truck.
