New Fleetwood Owner in CA

Hi All. I just scored a 1990 Fleetwood D23 Class C from a retired couple that wasn't using it anymore for $2000! It has 32000 miles and a Onan 4K genset with only 100 hrs. Sweet deal. That's the good news.

The bad news, I don't know anything about RV's, much less about old RVs. Dang, 1990 is old? It doesn't seem that long ago! Time flies.

Anyways, I look forward to searching the site for questions and asking new ones as I learn my way around this beast. Just in time for Memorial Day too. Drive safe this weekend everybody.

Jason

Jason;

Welcome to iRV2. Congratulations on your purchase. It sounds like a good deal to me. You have come to the right site for any info you may need. There is a wealth of info and experience here and a great group who like to help when they can. Browse the forums that interest you and don't be afraid to ask questions. I would suggest our Vintage Forum as a starter.

Send a message via Yahoo to Rick Long
Now check the date on the tires no matter how great they look... Over 6 or 7 years, replace 'em before you go anywhere!!

Is this the tire date stamp? I think it might be tire time! $$$$

If the pics dont come out good the top one 2201-025 (what is "025"?)

bottom pic: 1 6 0 1

Neither # is date code. look after dot numbers may be three digits only if 1989 or
1990 tires. four digits after 2000.

Judging by the cracks in the sidewall, the last 7 probably means 1997.
Even if the last 00 means 2000 it doesn't matter. You need new tires asap!
