Newmar makes good rigs, we've had two DSDP's. Our first one, a 2000 3865, had the fiberglass roof. The second one had the Bright Tek, it is not rubber. The Brite Tek was actually quieter plus the material had a 12 yr warranty, the fiberglass only had a two year warranty.

I would recommend the Polar Pak option too. We ordered that in the '02 DSDP, cost then was minimal (less than $100 back then) but well worth it.
