I have been hanging around here for a while and finally made the time to become a "real" member so I thought I would finally stop in here to say Hi.

New RV owner...first time RV owner also. We just bought a previously used Class C 2006 32' Born Free President rear queen model from the factory. We have not had much time to use it yet but we will when we retire. The rig was "lightly used" as a Demo by the factory so it was mostly shown rather than "used" in the usual sense of the term. The factory is treating it like a "new" unit for warranty work but they priced it as a "used" unit for sale. We could not pass up the deal as it was 95% of what we wanted in a rig.

I have a project list that includes addition of a Xantrex RS 3000 inverter, three camera system and rewiring part of the AC panel for the large inverter, new battery compartment for 2 additional batteries, sewer hose holder under the rig (we lost the factory one when I had them upgrade the class III hitch to a class IV, install baseplate, towbar, lights and brake system on our 2001 MDX toad and a few other minor upgrades.

Otherwise, it has everything else we could want including 7kw Onan, 10 cuft. Dometic refer, microwave/convection oven, full time RV queen Select Comfort bed, 50 amp service, two AC units, Casual Elegance upgrade package, etc. all on a C-5500 Chevy chassis (8.1 gas engine) with a GWVR of 19,500#; leaving us plenty of CCC room for "stuff" and a 5000# toad.

My project plans are on hold until the weather gets warmer for a few days...it was 15 deg. F last night.

Thanks for all the good discussion on the various topics that come and go and come back again on the forum.

Everything is new to a new RV'er.
