I am from Berea Ohio 42 years ago and my wife and I have been in Fort Walton Beach Fl for 42 years now. We have an 06 Nat. Tradewinds now for 10 months and traveled out West last fall and put 6,000 miles on the unit in 2 months. Great trip. We are both retired, I from the Jet engine world and the wife from owning a boat , motorcycle dealership. We are lucky enough to have a water front home and share time between travel in a 36 Regal cruiser and the RV world. We are leaving tomorrow for Grassy Key Fl for 5 weeks and the FMCA at Perry Ga in March. Very nice run site with lots of good info. I have watched you folks for a year now. Thanks!!
Larry

Lault,
welcome to IRV2, Ft. Walton Beach is a beautiful area, we spent many vacations there when our kids were growing up.

Happy Trails

Glad you finally decided to chime in. Would love a tour of your area in that 36' cruiser!

I didn't know they were a Campground on Grassy, Key.
I have been there many times at a friends house on the Gulf of Mexico side.
Is it new?

There is a new campground on Grassy Key, as said previously. Here's the link: RV PARK FLORIDA KEYS I was there last week, just passing through. It looks like a nice place with all the water front sites taken up by high end class "A"s. The sites are few and they are a bit small. All in all, especially when compared to some of the other campgrounds in the keys, this looked like a nice place. The one that was a surprise is the one on Fiesta Key, RV Resort - Tent Camping ? Vacation Activities ? Hotel and Bar | Long Key, FL . It is pretty good size, a lot of water front sites, all in all looked like a nice place. It wasn't crowded last week and they have a huge sign on the road that states all sites, $49.95.

JMonroe, come on I love to take folks on the boat and show them this great area. We were voted # 3 for the best beaches in the world!! It is hard to leave here, but also time to see something new in this great country.

Welcome Larry,
Sounds like a great life. We're in Topsail for a few days. We'll be at Fair Harbor for the FMCA rally next month. Give us a shout when you get up there and the 1st cup is on us.
