Just bought an older scamper pop up slide in truck camper and are having fun fixing it up. We have four kids (4,6,14,16)and cant wait to take them camping. The oldest one probably wont be going (started working this year)so it might be a little cramped but we can deal with it. I work alot of hours and work on saturdays so most trips will be local and only for one night. Im sure I'll have a bunch of ???'s The slide in is our first.

offlimits4wd welcome to irv2
I bought my son a slide-in camper and rewired lights, redid water, gas systems and he now uses it to go fishing for $100 bucks, his first.
You have to start some where to catch the RVing bug good luck with your families new adventure and you can always pull a sleeper pop-up like we did for the grown girls.
Enjoy the forum and do post often.

First trip and we had a blast. Went to Yorkville Il to hide away campground. The campground was a little outdated and the pictures wernt updated for like a hundred years but all in all the first time was fun. The pool was a real cement pond with pond water pumped in and the beach area was over grown with algea. The kids loved it and are ready to go again next weekend. This weekend we are going to the Cliffs Insane Terrain Offroad Park and the camper needs to be self suficiant by then because the park is not made for camping. We will post up after are next excursion. Bye for now.
