New from North Texas

Just signed up the other day, but have been reading posts here for a while. My wife and I are starting the shopping process for a travel trailer. We are both semi retired and looking for places to go to get away from the summer heat in Texas.
We bought an inexpensive, 25 year old Layton 5th wheeler about 4 years ago. This was to just give trailer camping a try. Just kept the trailer a few months, but got some ideas about what we wanted in a future camper trailer.
I will probably be asking a lot of beginner questions as time goes by. We hope to buy our "dream camper" by this coming fall. Then, we can do some short trips through the fall and spring to be ready for a "big" trip next summer. Leaning toward bumper-pull this time, but not firm on that.

Welcome from San Antonio area. Consider joining us for a Texas Boomer Rally once you get your rig. Look under Forums/South Central/Texas Boomers for information.

Have you had any dealings with that big RV sales place in Alvarado?? I just wondered if they offer good service after the sale?
