New, from SD and/or IL!

Greetings, campers! We've been full time RV folk since 2000, when me moved off the farm and into a 1987 Kountry Aire. Since then we've tried several used 5ers, a couple of truck campers, added dogs to our family and now are tackling our first MH--1985, 21' Diamond, while living in an '04 quad slide that Keith built a 'hauler' to pull, while still working for a living! Oh, and a couple of months a year, we go to the Badlands of SD and work on the little shack we bought out there!

I've been gleaning as much info as I could, while lurking here, on the care and rebuilding of old motorhomes. I'll probably be asking questions, eventually..... There seem to be a whole lot of knowledgeable people on here!

Dinah, Keith and the "furballs" :

G'morning from our present campground here in Minneapolis and a GREAT BIG WELCOME to the iRV2 gang.

So, you're working on a "shack" in the badlands. Sounds like a fun project. While we're originally out of Duluth, MN, and have been full timing since 05, our current home base residency is South Dakota. My wife's grew up in the Mitchell, SD area and her family is all over that area. We spend alot of time in the Black Hills and after traveling all over the country, we kinda think we'd like a summer place somewhere around the Hills area. Although we winter down south, we've been seriously looking for a place in the Hills.

So, where ya from in Illinois? We assume that's where your farm is located. We just drove up through Illinois a couple weeks ago and BOY!!...did they have water in the Southern part of the state.

Anyway, WELCOME again, and hope to meet ya down the road.

Steve & Lynette

Thanks for the welcomes!
Yup, a shack in Kadoka was as close and we could come to buying a summer home in the Hills! Plan A was to clear the lot and make a place to park our 5er, but we just couldn't bear to tear down the little house...

We're about 25 miles S of I-70, on the IN/IL State Line (currently with a river view of the Wabash--which will go away and be replaced by corn fields!)

Good to meet you all--and hope to see you out and about! If you get bored, there's free hookups in Kadoka--and plenty of remodeling needing done....
