New from the Gulf Coast
Hello, I'm new to the forum and also new to the RV life. My wife and I traded our boat and water front life for a Class C MH. We bought it just to see if we liked traveling this way and wouldn't cause either one of us to commit murder. After about 3 months of weekends and one 10 day trip we decided it was time for us to get something a little larger for our travels. I guess you have determined we liked the freedom of our rv. We purchased a new to us 2005 Fleetwood Fiesta in July. We have since fell in love with the increased space and much nicer amenities. We are taking short weekend trips and learning our new mh. The dogs love the traveling and get excited each time they see it in the driveway. We really love the life style of just going somewhere, no schedule, no destination and just exploring the roads and quaint little towns close to home. The forum has offered us a wealth of knowledge and I have learned so much thus far. The funny incidents some have shared or similar to things I have learned by doing so to speak.
My wife loves fresh flowers, she always puts some in the mh before we leave. One quick lesson, do not place a vase of flowers with water directly over the drivers head. It only takes one idiot to pull out in front of you before you understand everything has it's secure place. Driving the remainder of our journey smelling like rose water is a learning experience. Did I mention it's better than taking the cap off the black water tank, hooking up the hose while someone can't wait for you to get it connected. Much worse than rose water.
Thanks for sharing all of your knowledge and stories.
