New guy

Hello to all. I'll introduce myself now so you all can help me through the first year or so of gaining experience.
We bought a used 2009 Winnebago Sightseer 35J late last fall, just in time to put it in storage for the winter. Delaware weather just wasn't going to cooperate in letting us try it out. The dealer winterized it before delivery and I didn't want to mess with until we were really ready too use it. So I spent part of the winter reading up on RV's. Oh, did I mention that I've never had any kind of RV before, and never even been in one? We finally used it the first weekend in March, with low temperatures in the single digits. We dry camped at a filed trial for our PBGV's. That was the first learning experience. Then I re-winterized it for the cold temperatures we were still having. Last weekend, Easter, we finally took it out to a campground and had a wonderful, restful time. Having an older, used motorhome will provide a few challenges that hopefully you all can help with. But, it's in good shape with only 4,500 miles on it and less than 75 hours on the generator. Oh, and I modified the lower bunk bed into three cages for the dogs. Two wire partitions and three sliding, removable wire panels for doors.
Thanks for having me. Now I need to work on my profile and ask more questions.

I have a 35-J as well ('08). It's a very sound coach...as you are probably finding out. PM me if you ever need any info.

Welcome aboard. Sounds like you have already gained some good experience in just a short time this Spring. The folks here should be a big help with your questions. They've been a great source of help for us. Good luck as your adventures get going.
