New guy from Alberta, Canada

Hey folks,

Just bought my first RV I can call my own. It's a 1997 Jayco Eagle 29' Hardwall 5th wheel. It's in beautiful shape. A good starter for sure.

Just probably gonna lurk here for a while to brush up on my rv knowledge. We always had one growing up but I moved to a tent in junior high and never looked back.

Now I'm married with one on the way and figured it was time to start life back on the inside. . .

Look forward to learning what I can and meeting who I can. Looks like a good forum.

If there's any must reads or things I should know about my new trailer, feel free to point me in that direction!

It is a good site with many knowledgeable posters. Welcome and don't be afraid to ask! No doubt over time you will encounter certain issues that seem to come up fairly often.
Tires, towing weights, and so on. Enjoy your new home on wheels and congrats on your upcoming addition.

Welcome, here's hoping the first time you use you unit isn't to evacuate because of flooding.
Go through all the paperwork you have for your 5er and see if your missing any manuals, for any of your RV's systems. Better to ask questions and get answers, before you get stuck out somewhere.

Looks like I jumped the gun. The seller hooked up the batteries the day I was going to pick up the trailer, found a short and cooked the wiring. Melted a ton of wires. I walked away. . .

Got another one lined up. 2001 Forest River Wildcat 28BH.

Going to look tomorrow.
