New guy from IL

My name is Scott and me and my family are now the proud owners of an 03 Revolution. It has 20K miles on it and only had 349 generator hours. It is in great shape other that a couple small things that need some attention that I'll get to in the Spring. A little about myself, I run a small trucking company and my main hobby is restoring old 79 Ford trucks. My 10 year old son is in a travel baseball league so our family will be using the coach quite a bit in the upcoming years. On to the pictures.

This is my 79 F-250

And the 79 Bronco

And my work truck

What part of Illinois??? We live in Urbana. There is a nice campground in Effingham that has room for big rigs.

Now, I'm not going to say anything about you driving a Ford. I really like the Bronco. {Not to give away my age, but I use to plow snow with a 73 Bronco with a 3 on the tree, and...it had duel fuel tanks.} However, a Peterbuilt?????????? Let me guess, 13 speed? I tried to drive one of those once, but got my foot caught in the steering wheel trying to count the gears.

You may want to check out the pond piggies in the forum, and see if Mike is going to have a spring rally.

Enjoy your unit, good luck to your son during his baseball season.

Spring Grove, up in the North Eastern tip. The Peterbilt, no U, has an 18 speed with a 475 Cat motor. I bought the truck new and it now has 340K on it.

Plowing in a 73 gives your age away a bit. When I was 17 I bought, with the help from my dad, a new 79 F-150 4wd and they have been in my blood ever since.

Pond piggies?

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

There is a forum section for different areas of the country. There is a section for the midwest, and a sub section, (I guess that is what it is called) called pond piggies. I think Mike has a section for Northern Illinois, too. Can't recall.

Good luck with your unit.

Nice looking rig, and I love the Bronco.

I remember when they first introduced the big Bronco, during the first contrived oil crisis, thinking they were going the wrong way. Like many of my generation, I really loved the 'small' Bronco (the Bronco II doesn't count. Even the venerated name couldn't help it )

Many happy (s)miles...
