New Guy from Joint Base Lewis McChord

Hello all Mark and Karla here. We bought our 2006 45' Travel Supreme Select last August and have been living full-time at the Family Camp on Fort Lewis, WA since October. Well except for our trip to Vegas in November to get married. We were married by Elvis on 11-11-11 in Vegas Since that was Veterans Day and we are both Vets we figured what better day.

Hope to get to know and meet some y'all in the future, this looks like a great website/App. I'm sure I'm going to spend a lot of time on here.

Welcome and congrats! I was stationed at Madigan in 1987, loved every minute. Kept our boat in a secure slip on American lake for $8 a month. Used to go to Westport for some awesome crabbing and the salmon ladder below the brewery in Olympia all the time. Great camping spots all up and down the coast, if you don't have kayaks get some and go north on 5 to the Straits of Jaun defuca(sp?) fantastic places to boondock, fish and paddle. We ran into about 20 seals just hanging out on a channel marker.

Hi GI. Welcome aboard.
Check out the Camp Murrary Fam Camp. It's not as expensive and just as nice----maybe even a bit better. We spent most of the Summer there last year.

Welcome to the forum, and thank you for your service! I used to be familiar with the Lewis/McChord area, back before it was "joint base". Always loved to get an overnight trip to McChord; mighty fine chow in that area.

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone hey Bruce we went over to Camp Murray and believe it or not we don't fit in there. I didn't see any spots that accommodate a 45' RV. It is really nice there though especially right on the water.
