Welcome to iRV2.

After 4 ; 5ers and now a diesel pusher ; the things I enjoy most about the Class A , are flat interior floor , security if overnighting in a rest area , ( I don't have to get out of my RV to move if I don't like what's going on around me. )and ease of set up when in an RV park , leveling jack system ( I know they are now available on the high end 5ers ) .
Parking in a site , if only back ins are available ( it's a BIG station wagon ) no special experience required .
NOTE: I'll freely admit that even after 4 , 5ers and nearly 150,000 miles towing , I never got really good at backing up.
Also having the toad ( mini van ) to drive around , rather than the truck ; DW used to take the truck shopping , but was reluctant to do so in busier cities.
You'll get many replies , but it will come down to personal choice.

EDIT: For a first time RVer ; RENT both types before you buy.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

A Class A is a lot more convenient if you will be doing a lot of traveling! We pulled a 5th wheel for 12 years before getting a Class A.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome. Lots of goof folks here with good info to share. We are a 68 year old dog with a beautiful 62 year old handler traveling around but in a Class A so can't really help with the trailer/fifth wheel question.
Good luck with the search and enjoy the adventure.

Welcome to IRV2! Check out RV.org. They rate RVs and have information on the selection and the dealing process.
