New guy N. Utah
Hey all my name is Mike. I live near Salt Lake. I am a noob with the experience of living out of the back of my ford explorer in college 11 years ago for 6 months in CA. It was a fun time. I'm 32 now and people consider me a bit of a loaner. I just like alone time after a long day of computer work. I'm looking to go full time because I'm sick of sharing a wall at an apartment and a house was too permanent. I don't have many possessions and I don't really care about money. I just care about lifting, eating, sleeping, hiking and occasional playing of video games on my laptop. The thought of being able to just go into a campsite and chill for a couple of weeks intrigues me. Anyways... Glad to see I found what looks like an awesome forum with great members.

A couple of things to consider. One is where will you park an RV, on a simi-permanent basis, that is also near your employment. You will also need, because of your computer based job, a reliable and fast internet connection. Most campground and resort wifi sucks. Other than that I see nothing to prevent you from you plan.

Thanks for the reply and yes I do plan on having hughesnet and at&t most likely which both are good in a lot of areas. I own a 2013 honda fit which weighs about 2600 pounds and I was thinking of getting a smaller class A fulltimer with good insulation with a tow. I would probably boondock a few days a week because there are tons of places to do so in this area. In the end I want to work remotely eventually. I am so tired of the cubicle life even if that means a cut in pay.
I have 0 debt and can put about 40k down and still have a lot for savings to live off of. I pay 1200 for rent currently and if I can beat that with the cost of the vehicle loan monthly plus gas and insurance that would be nice.
