hello all,

I am new to this RVing thing.
We went on a weekend trip to gettysburg PA. with my parents in july.
they have an 05 winnie with double slide outs. we had a great time.

On laborday, we did the tent deal for the first time at fronteer town in OceanCity MD.
again we had a great time, with the exception to getting up off the ground in the middle of the night to fumble with the dag on zipper in the dark all the while trying not to pee myself
anyhow my step dad offered his old winnie to me for a starter RV for free.

it's 1973 winnie I think 27 ft. on a dodge chassis. it hasn't been use since 03 or 04. but before that they took it to SD each year. it has 54,000 miles.
it does need a little roof work, and some brake work as well.

I haven't took delivery yet has it kinda became a shed when the new winnie came.

anyhow look forward to chating with fellow RVers and I will likely have so questions on my "vintage" RV

I have owned a '75 Explorer 25', a '74 Pace Arrow 26' and I am presently selling our '81 Apollo 3000DB 30'. All have had 440 Mopar engines and 727 transmissions in them. I have quite a lot of experience with them and my FIL currently has a restored (restified?) '76 Vogue 26'.

thanks! quick.
I have always been a chevy guy, so mopar will be something different. I believe this has a 413 engine, but not 100% sure.
I do know that the brakes were an issue after it sets for a month or so. everything was replaced except for the rear hydro/vac boosters.
I have a phone for a guy that helps alot of the local farmers with thier older truck. I will be calling him. plus my step dad was able to find a tech service manual, that should help alot too.can't wait to get her home maybe in a week or so.
I will post updates and pic's has I go.

also thanks for the welcome wizard.
